A Stormy Day on the Costa del Sol

Seascape on a Stormy Day

Seascape on a Stormy Day

My wanderings took me to Torremolinos, a beach town near Malaga in Spain.  It was my second visit and not as good as the first, being too early in the season with the weather stormy and cool.  If you want to meet a lot of clueless English tourists, this is the place to go.

  3. Ron, I love the cover photo there is almost this yin yang charge I get inside me when I look at it…. a balance between dark and light I love the horizon line dictated by the storming seas they match the energy ions in the clouds bubble and ready to burst nice shot~michelle

    • Thank you Michelle, it is storming outside in Houston this minute, thunder, lightening, the works.

      • it is a gray day here in mass kind of melancholy rain and drizzle. I will take it any day over snow though

        November 22, 2013 at 9:41 am

        • We get 5 minutes of snow about every 10 years.

  4. The B&W photos are excellent. Seascape is very moody but I like the sea view. The patterns the buildings make is great.

PS. I’m English but still smiled at the remark regards the Brits – sadly Spain, especially the touristy places such as that tend to attract the lower echelons of British society….such places are therefore at the bottom of the list of places I’d like to visit. Give me wild beautiful and remote countryside any day over that :-)

    • There are a lot of wild and remote places in North America.

      • LOL, tell me about it. I have many friends who own old Series Land Rovers who live in the States and many live in simply stunning places such as Vermont. I’d love to get over with my Land Rover and tour North America one day, maybe when my kids have fledged the nest :-)

        • There are some very wild places in Texas.

        • Some very wild folks too going by your pictures! :-)

  5. Lovely photo of the sea. Made me laugh about the clueless English – we have some of them here further up the coast on the Costa Blanca (apparently it is still summer here by the way some of them dress), ha, ha. Keep up the great photos, x

  6. Ah yes, the appreciated photo menus. :) This is a beautiful stretch of coastline and I’m smiling at your reference to the clueless…

    • Thank you Eric, several people got a laugh about my reference to the English.

  7. Great seascape, reminds me of gazing out across the North Sea watching the rain clouds roll in, then retreating to a cafe for a bacon roll before pedalling back to Norwich, very emotive.

    • Thank you, it was worse than that today here, about 46 F outside now, not Harley weather.
