This set was shot in Vancouver, BC during July of 2011. The city is full of beautiful women, so that is what I took pictures of. I am famous, or notorious for this style of street photography. It is meant to portray women in real life and has also been referred to shorthand as the Chicas series. They are pleasant looking but not extraordinarily good looking. They are taken the way they are, doing whatever they are doing at the moment. This is pure candid street photography, although some street photographers don’t want to believe that. I guess they are too busy taking pictures of the homeless from a safe distance. Anyone who thinks I should only be shooting amazing looking women should send some my way. These are not shot in a studio. Anyone who thinks they should be as clean as studio shots does not get it. They should stay in a studio and shoot the usual commercial model images on sterile white backgrounds with loads of sterile flash. Some people don’t like what I am doing. They need to get a life. (I did shoot some landscapes and architecture, but did not like the way they came out.)
