More from the three days immediately proceeding labor day weekend, 2011.  Most were located around Millennium Park and the famous Bean.  The Marilyn Monroe statue photo won a picture of the week award at Nikon Gear photo forum.

  2. I just love the Grey-scale image. Black and white reveals far more detail than color, believe it or not. Excellent shot! What kind of camera do you use?

    • These were shot with a Nikon D700. Now I have a Nikon D800.

  6. Between their old fashioned uniforms and the black and white treatment the sailor shot could so easily be from another era – great shot. Enjoyed them all as a nice overview of Chicago – thanks.

    Beautiful black and white photography! If you don’t mind my asking, what kind of camera do you use? I am guessing you live in Chicago?

    • Those were done with a Nikon D700. I have since switched to a Nikon D800. I live in Houston.
