Sunset on Return to Santa Fe

The Ghost Ranch is about an hour and a half drive North of Santa Fe, just past Abiquiu. ¬†Georgia O’Keeffe spent a lot of time here and the flat top mountain, Pedernal, appears in one of her paintings.

  1. Ghost Ranch is a beautiful area. Have you been to the De-Na-Zin wilderness area in the Bisti Badlands south of Farmington, NM? The area is amazing.

    • I have not been there. This year I am considering driving out to NM from Houston for a longer than usual trip.

      • About ten minutes, go north on the 95 or south on the 215 into Red Rock Canyon.

        • From where I live, it is an hour to get to something resembling a rural area.

I’ve only driven through Santa Fe (and got a speeding ticket while doing so). I need to get back! These colors are fabulous!

    • Thank you Laurie. Watch out in Texas, it is the speed trap capital of the world.
