After many wine tastings, and a detour through Marin County, I arrive in downtown San Francisco. The streets here are chock full of people making this an ideal place to shoot. It was raining in the morning and the sun never came out. Lack of direct sun can be beneficial as it avoids shadows across the subject’s face. Ever heard of one camera, one lens? I shot all day with a Nikon D800 and 28mm f/1.8 AF-S lens. That lens is a real honey. It renders well and has very fast AF. ”Soup to Go” was shot in Chinatown.

I loved my 2 visits to San Fran. Hope to go back there one day. Great photos.
Thank you.
Hey Ron thanks for the brief trip down memory lane, I love SF. I was in San Francisco in 1967 during the summer of love, you and your camera would have had a field day.
Yeah, that would have been fun with a bucket of Tri-X and an old style SLR with all mechanical guts. Thank you for commenting.
