Hi Ron! Great images, as always! Question for you: do you get model releases for all your shots? I know, big, vague question! I’m asking as I recently submitted a photo into a photo competition, but I don’t have written model releases. Another photographer I was with asked the surfers if we could take some shots, and they agreed, but I feel a little nervous not having anything in writing. Thoughts? Thanks so much! In the US a model release is not needed to publish a photo of someone as art or editorial material. This is also subject to state laws regarding privacy.
