Your subject maybe repetitive but they are always so eye catching!;-)

There has been a bit of repetition lately because I felt this was a good time to update and show previous Houston Gay Pride coverage. Besides, DOMA was invalidated so the gays are dancing in the streets, literally and figuratively. I wound up deleting the 2009 set because I felt they were not up to the quality of what I am doing now. There too many blown highlights.

Oh no you shouldn’t have! You’re a talented photographer!:-)

I just was not happy with that set, it was 4 years ago in skills and 2 cameras back. The D800 I use now is so far superior to the old D300 it isn’t funny.

You’re the expert. I’m sure you know what’s best!;-) I’m the audience. I’m intrigued either ways. Job done.:-)

Good use of color vs B&W in contrasting the two opposing views of what is right.

Thank you Robert. I did not think it through that well, but my instincts said the religious freaks needed to be in B&W.

Yes, no shades of grey with them – it either is or is not…

thanks for lasting longer in the heat than I did. I’m sure it took you more than an hour to find and capture all these beauties yesterday.

You might have seen me there.

great series as always…the black & white is perfect for the religious fanatics! A major contrast with the rest of the photos…

Thank you Heather.

Except for the person in the tights, and the religious folk, everyone seemed to be dressed appropriately for the heat! Another fascinating series.

G, It was so hot that I nearly passed out once. After about 2.5 hours I gave up because I could not function anymore. Later that evening I was out and it was 107F. Today the high was 96F and I felt a chill, LOL.

:) It was below freezing here till about 9 am. So there’s chill and then there’s CHILL. I wouldn’t want 96F though, let alone 107F.

Where are you that is so cold? We are so acclimatized to hot weather here, that we think temperatures in the 70’s are cold. Unless we get hit with a tropical storm, daily highs will be in the 90’s until late September.
