High Seas at Hanalei Bay

Two Boys, Full Speed

Two Boys, Full Speed

On my last full day on Kauai I went up to Hanalei Bay to see the high seas.  Someone tried to go surfing.  Paramedics took him away in an ambulance.  Locals say it is possible to get swept off the dock by a rouge wave.

        • Thank you. Click on the Florida menu button in the header of my blog for a similar composition without the intense weather.

  8. When it gets windy, you don’t want to be anywhere near the water. And, wearing a dress. ;)

  14. We’re in Hanalei right now. Your photos inspired me to check out this beach! Lots of fun here. Love your photos everywhere you go! Now I want to go to Pompeii after seeing your magnificen photos. Tried to go to Pompeii once on a day trip from Rome to Naples many years ago , but Pompeii was closed for the day, and we didn’t try again.

    • If you are in Kapaa try to eat at Kintaro. They have great sushi rolls, good prices and locals love the place. You can access all of my travel photography via menus in the header of the blog. In Hanalei, you dog, you.
