Artists in Their Studios

Janavi Folmsbee

Janavi Folmsbee

I had the pleasure of speaking with Janavi in her studio.  She is also a scuba diver and we had an acquaintance in common in India.  Of this group, April Murphy is the only one that I have known for a while.  She appears with a work in progress.  Vincent Fink’s work is all about fantasy.  Paige does abstract floral paintings.  All of these artists were photographed at the Winter and Spring Street Studios Second Saturday open house.

    • Ann, I expected some interest in this series because so many the people following my blog are visual artists and creative types. I am very much in to environmental portraiture and can’t seem to do a straight “pro studio” portrait at all. It isn’t just photographing the person, it is photographing their world.

      • No one does it better than “you” my friend. This post was a treat as viewing it, I looked over at my draped kitchen table filled with canvas and paints, my space! I rarely comment, however know that in every “like” I give there is praise for your talent in capturing reality. ajm

  13. It seems that all of your posts have been disappeared from my inbox. I have missed a lot of them. Now I’ve tried to fix it by unfollow and re-follow back. Let me see if it works. Lovely photos as always, my friend.

    • Yeah, I noticed you just popped back on my follow list. Some of the glitches at WordPress are unexplainable. Sometimes my stat counter stops working for a couple of hours.
