Edgy Beauty and Tattoos 2014

Mermaid

Mermaid

Yesterday I photographed these people at Houston Gay Pride 2014.  Five of them I have photographed previously, including the idiot preachers who were saying things so explicitly sexual and disgusting that I can’t repeat any of it here.  “Petite Tattooed Girl” acquired most of her ink in the last 12 months.  This year instead of the usual insufferable heat, it rained on and off.  Look for more photos tomorrow morning.

    • Thank you. I did find the moisture made it hard to zoom the lens I was using and the flat light slowed down autofocus. However, it was better than last year’s 100F heat which left me breathless after about two hours.

  2. There’s one here today in SF. I would’ve gone to take pics but we have relatives from out of town and that’s the LAST place they’d want to go lol.

  5. I still find it hard to understand why people go to these events to either protest against them or to convert people to an oppersite way of thinking. I hope they didn’t cause to much of a problem for those having fun and taking part.

    • Those guys are nuts, they show up all where there is a crowd.

  6. Wonderful life shots. The only folks who don’t appear at peace with themselves are the ones concerning themselves with Hell.

  7. Have you ever noticed the depth of detail people like the preacher go to in describing the activities they abhor?

    • It was sick, the things he said were awful, and sexual.

  8. Thanks for checking out Smiley’s dice. I am in Malibu and dozens of bikers stream the Pacific Coast Hwy, all dressed like you.

    • Thank you. The Gravitar is not me, it is a picture I took in Switzerland of all places.
