Light and Dark

Chamonix is a ski resort in the Southeast of France not far from Geneva.  You know the difference between France and Switzerland immediately.  The roads have tolls and the petrol costs more in France.  Unlike most of my travel blog posts there are no photos of people in this set because of absurd French laws which give people control over their images unless they are legitimate news.  In other words, in the country that produced Henri Cartier Bresson, street photography is effectively outlawed.  The only places that I know of with similar laws are Norway and the Province of Quebec in Canada.  Fortunately, such laws are not compatible with the first amendment to the US Constitution.
