Leaving Before The Storm

The Thunderball Cafe is now closed.  It took its name from a James Bond movie and was located on Staniel Cay in the Exuma chain of the Bahamas.  That day I also visited a beach with a large population of lizzards.

  2. The water color – wow! Beautiful island. Geologically, the Bahamas are fascinating to investigate as well, setting on the edge of a major underwater canyon.

the pristine and turquoise colour water is so inviting, paradise!

  6. Leaving shot is my favorite of this group – but all are good. Thunderball was my first Bond film that I was allowed to see as a youth…hummm…maybe I can blame my parents for something else:-)

  8. The sky here is just like that in “leaving before the storm”, but the seas are never quite that colour! As usual, perfect pictures, inspiring envy and admiration in (just about) equal measure!

    • Well the sea really was that color, but I have been known to cheat and make it that color. Thank you for stopping by.

  16. Beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing. Hard to choose a favourite, but I really love the one with the two dinghies and a storm on the horizon.

  19. No more Thunderball. Sounds like a place I would like to visit. Don’t they have the Blue Hole somewhere around there?

    • The Bahamas has blue holes, but they are not right around there. I have been in them, underwater.
