Miami’s South Beach in Black and White

Miami’s South Beach is almost a step outside the US. The Latin influence is heavy. Dark hair and olive complexions rule. Most restaurants have service charges because tipping is a US thing and the foreigners don’t understand it. Pedestrian traffic is great for street photography owing to the mild weather in the winter when I was there. Many art deco buildings are available to shoot as well.

  1. Great set of photos, Ron, all wonderfully rendered in b&w. “Wedding Cake Tower” is especially compelling. Beautiful work!

Very nice collection of photos. Particularly enjoy your images of people on the streets and coming from the water.

  12. South Beach is a great place to photograph! There is a photo no matter where you look. AS colorful as South Beach is, it looks fantastic in black and white as well. Nice job!

  17. Love the street shots, as always! The wedding cake tower and the spiral ramp are striking. Of course, my favorite has to be Einstein garage. 😉 Unusual Miami series in BW that works famously.
