  1. Looks awesome! I wish I was in Huston. I have met 3 different couples in the past few months here in Calgary that have since moved to Huston! haha.

Another thing totally off topic. See the people that liked your post so far. Well the guy with the profile picture of just his face and he’s smiling looking up with his beard. Has he ever commented on your stuff? Do you think he actually reads your posts? Because I see he likes like everyones blog on wordpress LOL. If he does actually read or even look at everyones blog, he can’t have a job and must be on here 24 hours a day haha. I suspect he just goes in the feed and likes everyones posts with out even taking a look.

    • Rob, I spend way too much time blogging and looking at other people’s blogs. Now I have to check out this guy with the beard.

      • Haha! πŸ˜† Thank you! She is a very arty ideal, and I like her very much too! I think she’s a 1950’s or possibly 60’s painting. There was an arm of a man with a cigarette in his hand in the left hand corner, but I cut him out, I hope it wasn’t too painful!! πŸ˜€

  7. We had a mild winter and summer the in 2012-13 and they say it is going to be a harsh winter this one. Be patient, it will pass.
By the way lovely photos and the one with the couple an instant classic.

  9. Lovers at a fountain is gorgeous. Very romantic.

As for the ‘likers’, I’ve had instances of ‘likes’ that have appeared within seconds of my post being published and in some cases those posts were multi-thousand word technical articles that would take even a speed reader a good few minutes to digest. These ‘people’ are effectively the equivalent of junk mail…..

    • Many likes come from the reader without a visit to the blog. I know some people are hot and bothered about likes and follows from commercial sites. I don’t have any problem with ignoring them.

      • Yes, I guess I’m in the hot and bothered camp, it really annoys me when somebody ‘likes’ a post without actually reading it. What is the point? I don’t see why the ‘like’ option is even available on the reader. It should only be available on the post itself, so you have some hope of the post being read before the like is applied. In my opinion the reader has been ‘upgraded’ purely to assist spammers in ‘liking’ and ‘following’ hundreds of posts/blogs with the miniumum of effort. 😦

        • It isn’t just for spammers. I think they are trying to make content more easily available and make wordpress.com more reader oriented. There is a long thread in the forum about this and the change is very unpopular. I predict there will eventually be advertising in the reader.

LOL, I was one of the contributors to that thread! πŸ™‚ In fact I found your blog because of it, so not all bad πŸ™‚

    • There you go. When blogging there is only one objective, produce original, unique, quality content. Do that and the rest falls into place. Whoops, I just pressed the follow button for your blog…
