Waikiki Beach

Pacific Sunset

Pacific Sunset

The last time I visited Oahu I stayed right across the street from Kuhio Beach Park.  One merely crosses Kalakaua Avenue and you are in downtown Honolulu. The sunsets were photographed from my hotel room.

Great photos. How long have you been doing photo blogging? I want to start a photo blog myself. I’ve been shooting since the early 60’s. I’m now into the mirrorless, micro four thirds system. Thanks.

    • I did photography many years ago as a teen and forgot about it for ages. 5 years ago I bought a Digital Rebel DSLR. Since then I switched to Nikon and now use a D800. This blog is about 3.5 years old.

Thanks, Ron. I was in the military and traveled around the world taking film, and slide shots. Since then I used a number of point and shoot film cameras, then finally a series of point and shoot digital cameras. I wanted to get back into manual control, so I purchased an Olympus OMD-EM1 which is adaptable to my old legacy lenses. I tried a Canon 70D. It was a great camera, but too heavy and bulky for my needs. I recently took my Oly on a Caribbean cruise and it did a fine job. So now I’m looking to start a photo blog to show my meager efforts. Your name came up in a WP article on photo blogging. Good luck and happy shooting.

        • Please send me a link to that article. The OMD-EM1 is a nice camera with access to a very complete set of lenses. Check out where there is a lot of micro 4/3 activity. You have to register, and access is limited to non paying users, but give it a try anyway,
