Industrial Houston

Razor Wire, Eastbound

Razor Wire, Eastbound

These photos were shot in January, 2012 at several locations around Houston, Texas in effort to capture some of the industrial flavor of the city.  The Union Pacific locomotive was in South Houston on a cold New Year’s Day.  Remaining images, except for the man in a hard hat were shot as I traveled East on Navigation out to about 75th street.  The construction worker was captured outside of the Houston Dynamo’s stadium project just east of downtown Houston.

  5. Amazing, amazing shot, Ron! When I clicked to enlarge, it took a while for the resolution to kick in and it was all pixelized on my screen for a moment and looked equally rad, actually! I absolutely love the frame.

  6. Very good collection here. The razor wire shot is my favorite … nice perspective. I think the B&W treatment suited it perfectly.

  8. The razor wire shot is a beauty. Old building shots are always of interest. The worker obviously liked having his picture taken, which is better that the ‘what the f**k are you looking at’ stare. Well done.

  24. Excellent! I make industrial landscapes as part of my street photography. The industrial aspects of a city is not well documented in fine art photography. I’m working on producing a blog series on industrial photography and industrial landscape photography. Who knows, I may contact you for an interview.
