Kids at a Fountain

For the last few days I have been at a convention in Boston.  Rather than go to the canned programs I have been wandering around the streets with my camera.  Yesterday the tail end of hurricane Andrew blew through here and it rained for hours.

  1. Kids in the fountains is fun. There is nothing like kids and water for the entertainment factor.

  3. I thought that fountain looked familiar. I took photos there on a hot July day last summer. Did you wander over towards the Pops concert on July 3rd? There would have been some great crowd shots, even if you were just on the edge of the crowd.

    • I watched the fireworks from a hotel room. Everyone who was outside got drenched as the rain started 5 minutes after the fireworks ended. The storm came in really fast moving a mile from Fenway in about a minute.

      • Then watching from the hotel room was the place to be. We went in one year. It was a fun experience, but a bit overwhelming.

  7. The photo of the children playing in the water fountain creates a living pattern: water, kid, water, kid… – gorgeous photos as always. I really have to get up to Boston. I’ve got a niece and nephew there. The nephew graduated BU and lives there now, the niece will be going into her 3rd year at BU…

      • Do you ever get to a point where you forget where you are? I know way back when I had a ‘real’ job, I went through periods where I did quite a bit of traveling in a condensed periods of time (all US) and some mornings I just about remembered where I was 🙂

        • There are other effects, that is not one of them.

        • Though I usually know where I am these days, I still get lost 😉
          Have a wonderful week, Ron.
