Lake Tahoe

10 Photos in This Gallery

The view of Emerald Bay is visible from the road.  Van Sickle Park is right behind the Marriott.   The socks are manufactured by Sock it to Me, a company owned by a young woman I met on my last trip to Kauai, early in 2014.  Number 8 is typical of the older cabins around Tahoe.  If you visit Lake Tahoe when school is out, expect to see a lot of children.

    • Go right after labor day, the crowds will be gone, it might be a bit chilly.

      • Chilly eh? Being I’m a Yank, it shouldn’t be an issue but then I am acclimated to Las Vegas’ 100+ temps!

  6. I looked where it was located this lake. A nice place and nice surprises in your shots. I love the first abstract photo, and the last for the socks and the colors of them. 🙂 I want them for me, they are so…..!!!!! 😀

    • The surface of the lake is at 6,100 feet altitude. The socks are available over the internet although I don’t know if they ship internationally.

  7. Thank you for liking “Rock Art: Part 2.” Fantastic work on this photo gallery! 🙂 I especially like the beautiful landscape shots and “Shed.” I did not realize how beautiful Lake Tahoe is at this time of the year. When I see it on television, it is usually during the winter when people want to know the skiing conditions. The closest I have ever been to Lake Tahoe was a one-day trip to Reno many years ago, and even then it was during the winter when the landscape was covered with snow.

    • Thank you. From the look of the slopes, I bet the skiing is superb.
