Foggy Palms

Foggy Palms

The golden hour photos are of Mission Beach.  All of the others are from Ocean Beach, including their Dog Beach.  These towns are just north of San Diego, California.

  9. More beaches? I’m drooling and yearning to be at a beach coming from another blog and here I am, staring at more dreams. *sigh* These are wonderful, Ron. The foggy palms made my Heart skip a beat. Thank you so much for continuing the drool. Love, Amy

    • Sometimes during the winter it gets into the 70’s at the beach in Galveston. We make up for it with suffering in the summer.

        • In July when it is 100 and 90% humidity, you will not be jealous.

        • True. You got me there. OK. So when you are nice and comfy I am freezing. When I am nice and comfy you are boiling. Sounds about right. Fair enough I suppose. LOL

        • Amy, that is how life is. The lucky ones go up North in the summer and come down here in the winter. Now, think about how you will photograph snow scenes and frozen rivers. After that, try interiors.

        • I am already thinking about it. My mind has been busy. LOL I got started on my Fall landscapes with more coming and I go from there. And yes too, my flowers. I just happen to LOVE flowers. LOL

        • Perhaps you have friends who are growing flowers indoors, exotics…

        • Or I can go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of flowers weekly too, bring home and photograph. LOL As I said, my mind is going … And yes, I have photographed many flowers wherever I can lately after my huge loss. So all is good here. My style has improved, my technique has changed, I am learning new in new software …. and I am beginning to photograph other then flowers … Yep, I would say all is good! Now for those beaches … someday … someday …. (smile) ….

  10. Thank you for liking “Decorated with the Dead” and “Phantoms.” Great job on these photos! 🙂 “Foggy Palms” is my favorite too. I have lived in California for many years, but I still find it strange to see people in this state wearing summer clothing in the middle of fall and sometimes in the winter. Perhaps it is warmer in southern California than it is here in Sacramento.

    • Where I live, Houston, we see summer clothing in fall, and sometimes in winter too. We also see warm clothing on days where it is too warm.
