On the second morning I went off in a Southwesterly direction and continued around the island on the West side eventually reaching Roche Harbor.

The lone tree is particularly interesting because normally people think of lush evergreens and rocky cliffs when they think of the Puget Sound islands. The contrast between the green and the deep blue of the Sound is awesome.

The gizmo is a collection of obsolete farm equipment. The tide pools are forever…
